Not only was that a really weird episode, but they purposely teased with almost revealing the nature of Xena and Gabriel’s relationship! Ugh!
I just watched the episode before this one earlier today. (The god you know) - I’m not too fond of You Are There but it’s definitely an important episode due to the fact that the basic order of the world is mended (i.e. Aphrodite & Ares get their powers back). Also, I love seeing Michael Hurst at any opportunity.

This was so uncomfortable to watch, good lord. She’s not very good at interviewing, but he’s an absolute jerk the whole time. He didn’t give her a damn thing to work with.
On the one hand, she didn’t really seem confident or prepared for the interview. On the other, totally agree with the general consensus here about him. You’re an actor, shouldn’t you be able to ‘fake it’ for the camera? At least pretend to not be a total dick? That was brutal.
Maybe he’s just doing Mark Zuckerberg…
I kinda took all the mean things he said as a joke though , So I didn’t exactly pick up on any hostility..
